More Safety Features

Because we take the safety of pilots and their passengers so seriously, we never stop searching for ways to help make every Cirrus flight a safe flight. In addition to the technologies already described, here are just three of many additional features we’ve incorporated into every Cirrus aircraft to help ensure that every flight is a safe one.

• Composite main gear and a 3g-roll cage absorbs energy in the event of a hard landing.
• Four-point harness systems with inertia reels are combined with the proprietary Cirrus Energy Absorbing Technology (CEAT) integrated into each Cirrus seat. This protects occupants in emergency landing conditions by absorbing energy equivalent to 26 times the force of gravity.
• Control yokes are positioned on the side to help prevent serious injury.
